Bothlale Boikanyo … Dynamic little star ….

True to the comments of this young and confident poet, Botlhale Boikanyo who drove in from Imperial Reserve, Mafikeng is certainly a dynamic rising star.

SA’s Got Talent 2012 winner performed her two poems “My first black President” and “Proudly South African” at the CNBC/ABN Productions Chairman’s Corner dinner. Bothlale really brought hope for the future and South Africans and role models into the room as she lit up the stage …

Saturday 16th saw the Honourable Helen Zille being inducted into the Foxwood House Walk of Fame. The gathered crowd of VIP’s, media and celebrities were superbly entertained by Maverick Warehouse’s talented close harmony singing group aca-Thatu.
The group proved that they can pull off as spectacular a performance outside in a courtyard as they can in any theatre and on any stage. Ms Zille thanked the group profusely for their lovely singing and they exchanged some friendly banter in Xhosa and Zulu. When the time came for Ms Zille to make her hand prints for posterity she called on two members of the group, Mbulaza Khumalo and Sibusiso Shozi to assist her in pushing her hands into the wet cement.
At the rose planting ceremony afterwards the extraordinary Helen asked for a photo to be taken of herself with aca-Thatu. She was truly bowled over by this up and coming musical outfit that are making waves on the South African entertainment scene.

Serenading staff on Valentine's day

Serenading staff on Valentine’s day

Multichoice Corporate Affairs rewarded their staff in the call centers, canteen, private offices, open plan offices and boardrooms on Valentine’s Day by engaging Maverick Warehouse’s red hot close harmony group aca-Thatu. Doing a walk-about performance this past February 14th, the group serenaded the ladies, wowed the guys and charmed everyone who heard them singing about their favourite subject-LOVE.

The group prompted spontaneous outbursts of applause from the crowds and giggles and sighs from a lot of the female staffers who rushed to have their photo taken with the gorgeous members of the sensational quartet. As they handed out flowers and chocolates to the staffers’ aca-Thatu were inundated with praise and appreciation for the fun, laughter and genuinely wonderful music they brought to the Multichoice work place on the day of love.
A great way to thank staff.
